Snow gently falls at sunrise in Scotland

Snow fell as the sun rose in Scotland on Tuesday morning, with isolated wintry showers set to hit the rest of the country throughout the day.

Stunning footage shared by Twitter user @HaggisAdele showed the sun rise at 6:50am in Kintyre, a peninsula in western Scotland, as snow fell and settled on the ground.

The Met Office says a cold band of weather means there will be a scattering of light snow and hail showers paired with some sunny spells as temperatures reach no higher than 4°C.
