Paralysed Ryanair passenger forced to drag himself onto coach after flight diverted
A paralysed Ryanair passenger had to drag himself up the stairs of a coach after his flight was diverted.
Spencer Watts, 27, is paralysed from the waist down and uses a wheelchair.
He was travelling from Lanzarote to Bristol when the flight was diverted to Birmingham.
Footage shows the father-of-two, who says Ryanair did not make ground handlers aware that he needed accessible transport, hauling himself backwards onto a coach.
An airline spokesperson said “The crew of this flight requested special assistance upon arrival... which the provider at Birmingham Airport failed to provide.”
The airport was contacted for comment.
