Moment fuel tankers collide, spilling gasoline into river in Russia
Two fuel tankers have collided on a river in southeast Russia, spilling gasoline into the water and damaging a container, a regional governor said on Tuesday (13 June).
A state of emergency was put in place around the area of the Lena River in Irkutsk after the incident took place on Monday.
The damaged container was carrying 138 metric tons of gasoline, Igor Kobzev said in Telegram message.
Authorities are working to determind how much gasoline ended up in the river, Mr Kobzev added.
