Prince Philip funeral: Public pay their respects in Windsor

Members of the public gathered near Windsor Castle spoke to The Independent, paying their respects to Prince Philip ahead of his funeral on Saturday.

After 73 years of marriage, the Queen will say farewell to the Duke of Edinburgh during a televised funeral service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday, attended by a small group of close family and friends.

People laid flowers and wreaths on the grass outside St George's Chapel and Windsor Castle ahead of the funeral.
