PCR test companies 'ripping off' Brits, says Yvette Cooper
Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper had called for a cap on the price of PCR tests for travellers in the UK saying a lot of people are being “ripped off.”
Cooper made the comments while speaking to BBC Breakfast on Monday (6 December) after the government announced all travellers into the country will need to take pre-departure tests for Covid-19 in light of the new omicron variant.
Cooper questioned why it had taken the government so long to bring back in the tests, given the fears that surrounded the omicron strain.
