The Independent’s latest virtual event saw a powerful discussion on domestic abuse, spotlighting the vital role of women’s refuges.

The panel, featuring Independent journalist Maya Oppenheim plus Refuge’s Abigail Ampofo and Denise Brown, discussed the importance of our Brick by Brick campaign, which is raising money to build a safe space for women escaping domestic abuse.

The event provided insights into breaking the cycle of abuse and supporting survivors in rebuilding their lives.
