Trespassers pose on chair for photoshoot in middle of railway tracks
Trespassers posed for a photoshoot in the middle of a train tracks in footage recently released to warn people to stay off railways.
Pedestrians can be seen taking pictures in the middle of the tracks, with one person posing on a chair.
Other examples of shocking behaviour caught on covert cameras at a pedestrian level crossing at Burton Joyce in Nottingham included people crossing in front of oncoming trains and laying down between the tracks.
Network Rail said there were 2,755 incidents of trespassing in the East Midlands in 2023-24 - 219 involving children.
These incidents caused passengers to face nearly 12,000 minutes of delayed trains - equivalent to more than 8 days.
