Penny Mordaunt was seen fighting back tears as she paid tribute to former Conservative MP Karen Lumley who has died aged 59.
“She was a force of nature and a force for good. We will miss her, her amazing hairdos and the joy she brought us all,” Ms Mordaunt said, speaking from the House of Commons on Thursday 25 May.
Ms Lumley was elected to represent the Worcestershire seat of Redditch in 2010, when she unseated former Labour home secretary Jacqui Smith.
