Moment sinking man rescued from ‘waist-high’ mud in Folkestone Harbour
Footage shows the moment a man was rescued from sinking mud in Folkestone Harbour, Kent on Sunday 7 May.
Firefighters and coastguard teams could be seen using two platforms to secure themselves and pull the man to safety after he became stuck in “waist-high” mud.
“The fire service extracted the person who was stuck while the coastguard rescue team provided safety cover and then casualty care but he didn’t require further medical attention,” a spokesperson for HM Coastguard said after the incident.
