Driver claiming to be on way to hospital mounts pavement to avoid Just Stop Oil
A driver who claimed he was on the way to hospital mounted a pavement in south London in a bid to avoid disruption to his journey as Just Stop Oil protesters staged a slow march.
Footage taken by an LBC journalist shows a police officer telling group members that a person driving behind the protest on Old Kent Road “has a hospital appointment.”
“I don’t believe that’s the case,” an activist replied, before a motorist turns his car onto the pavement and drives round the protesters.
The Metropolitan Police said they are investigating the matter.
