Judge reads cookie magazine during Kyle Rittenhouse trial

The judge in Kyle Rittenhouse’s homicide trial took a time-out to read a cookie catalog during a break in proceedings.

Judge Bruce Schroeder has gone viral on social media after pulling out the book and examining it for a few minutes towards the end of his ten-minute break.

He also made headlines for a number of other reasons on Wednesday, notably lashing out at prosecutors over their line of questioning relating to Mr Rittenhouse’s silence in the months after the shootings, which took place in August 2020.
