‘That fella down under’: Joe Biden forgets Scott Morrison’s name during Aukus announcement

US President Joe Biden called Australia’s PM Scott Morrison “that fella down under” during a press conference to announce the new Aukus defence pact between the two countries and the UK as well.

Biden seemed to forget Morrison’s name, calling him pal as well at one stage but later seemed to remember who he was talking to when reading from a teleprompter.

All three leaders seemed to see the funny side of it – with Boris Johnson clearly cracking up on the screen behind Biden as he made his remarks.
