Watch: CCTV shows moment Jamaal Bowman pulls fire alarm in Capitol
CCTV footage has captured the moment American politician and educator Jamaal Bowman pulls the fire alarm at the Capitol.
Rep. Bowman is seen pulling the alarm in the Cannon House Office Building, before casually walking away from the scene, in footage obtained by Spectrum News.
Bowman pleaded guilty on Thursday (26 October) to one count of willfully and knowingly pulling a fire alarm during House voting in September.
The D.C. Attorney General’s Office said Bowman quickly agreed to plead guilty, issue a formal apology, and pay the maximum fine of $1,000.
He will avoid prison and the offenses will be dismissed if he abides by the conditions of a three-month probation agreement.
