It's exactly a year since Trump suggested using bleach to treat Covid
It was this time last year when US President Donald Trump sparked outcry by suggesting that bleach could be used to treat coronavirus - an idea which was strongly rebuked by medical experts at the time. Speaking during a White House press conference in April last year, Trump said: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute. Is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning.” He also posed the idea of hitting the body with an “ultraviolet or just very powerful light”.
