Indonesian submarine crew sing farewell song before tragedy

A video from an Indonesian submarine filmed just weeks before it sank killing all 53 onboard, has been released showing the crew singing a farewell song.

“Even though I’m not ready to be missing you, I’m not ready to live without you,” the submariners sing as one of them plays an acoustic guitar.

The song “Sampai Jumpa” is an Indonesian hit and the video was recorded as a farewell message to the commander of the navy’s submarine corps.

The KRI Nanggala-402 sub was found on the seabed on Sunday after being missing for four days.
