Classroom converted into swimming pool during India heatwave
Teachers have converted a classroom into a swimming pool amid a heatwave in India.
Footage shows schoolchildren splashing and playing in the shallow water to escape the heat, which has reached highs of 45 degrees Celsius over recent days.
The principal of the school said fewer children have been attending classes, but giving them this relief from the weather encouraged them to come back.
Other schools in India have gone so far as to suspend lessons because of the unbearable heat.
