Moment boulders and debris rain down on road as cliff face collapses

Footage captures the moment a cliff face collapsed onto a highway, sending people fleeing for their lives.

The road in northern India’s Uttarakhand was closed after boulders and heavy mud fell down the hill on 30 April.

Shocking video shows boulders raining down as clouds of dust rise from the ground.

People can be seen fleeing for their lives and were reportedly left stranded by the side of the road for hours following the incident, due to the blockage.

No casualties were reported and disaster management teams have since cleared the highway.
