The Algerian boxer beat Anna Luca Hamori, advancing to the women’s welterweight semi-finals. (3 August)
Although cleared to compete in the Olympics despite last year’s International Boxing Association (IBA) disqualification, comments from figures like Donald Trump, J.K. Rowling, and Giorgia Meloni suggested, without evidence, that Khelif was a man or transgender.
