Journalist details horrors of being a Hamas hostage: ‘They put a gun to my head and started to pull the trigger’
A British journalist held captive by Hamas has spoken of the terrifying moment a gun was held to his head.
Paul Martin was captured by the militant group and held for 26 days in 2010.
He was arrested in a Gaza court, where he was due to give evidence on behalf of a Palestinian militant charged with collaborating Israel. He was accused of being a security threat.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday (24 October), Mr Martin said: “They were going to use a British law to execute me from the mandate period.
“They’d taken a gun... put it to my head and started to pull the trigger... That was on my first night.”
