Greta Thunberg carried away by Norway police after being detained during pro-Sami protest
Norwegian police Greta Thunberg from outside the doors to the country’s finance ministry as she took part in a demonstration demanding the removal of wind turbines from reindeer pastures.
The environmental campaigner joined indigenous campaigners to block access to government buildings.
Though Norway’s supreme court in 2021 ruled that two wind farms built at Fosen violated Sami - indigenous people of northern Norway - rights under international conventions, but the turbines continue to operate.
Footage shows Ms Thunberg being lifted up by police officers and carried away from the area while fellow demonstrators chant slogans.
