Government should 'rip up' Nationality and Borders Bill, charity chief says
The government should “rip up” its Nationality and Borders Bill in the wake of the accident in which 27 people died trying to cross the Channel on Wednesday (24 November), the chief executive of Refugee Action has said.
Tim Naor Hilton has said that the incident should be treated as a “national day of mourning” and said the planned Nationality and Borders Bill does not tackle any of the issues that it claims to address.
