Geoffrey Cox ‘does not believe’ he breached rules by using MP office for legal work
Sir Geoffrey Cox has issued a statement saying he “does not believe” he breached MPs’ rules surrounding Commons conduct – despite video footage appearing to show him undertaking external work from his Westminster office.
Labour has referred the QC to the Commons standards commissioner after The Times reported that Sir Geoffrey used his MP office in September to participate remotely in giving advice to the British Virgin Islands over a corruption probe launched by the Foreign Office.
