Exit poll met with questionable noises on Sky News
As Sky News began broadcasting their overnight General Election coverage, the opening scenes were met with some strange noises, as the exit poll results were revealed.
Kay Burley along with the Manchester Mayor Andy Burnam made sounds of shock and awe as the poll indicated that Keir Starmer’s Labour Party was forecast a landslide.
Labour was forecast to win a landslide 170-seat majority, with the Tories reduced to their lowest number of MPs on record.
In the first result of the night, shadow education secretary Bridget Phillipson held Houghton and Sunderland South, but Reform pushed the Conservatives into third place.
