Herd of 45 escaped cows rampage down quiet Yorkshire street

Watch the moment a herd of 45 cows rampage through the streets of a quiet residential area in North Yorkshire.

The livestock broke loose in Ripon after pushing through a kissing gate.

In footage, captured on Friday 5 July at around 8pm, local resident Leon Box, 16, can be seen running away from the herd as they charge down the street.

His mother, Jess, said it sounded like an “earthquake” when the cows moved past their home.

“Quite a lot of people have said it’s the funniest thing they’ve seen,” she added.
