Nadine Dorries claims Boris Johnson ‘had no money growing up’ despite going to Eton
Nadine Dorries received an unexpected wake-up call during last night’s General Election coverage (4 July), when she suggested Boris Johnson knew what “hardship” was like.
“He had no money growing up”, she claimed, before Krishnan Guru-Murthy chimed in: “He went to Eton what are you talking about?”
Dorries tried to claim he went on a scholarship, however, other panellists were quick to point out that all of his brothers also attended the £49,000-per-year school.
In 2018, Johnson’s childhood home in London sold for £11.25 million.
