Trump indicted in Stormy Daniels probe as first ex-US president to face criminal charges

Donald Trump has become the first former US president to face criminal charges after being indicted by a Manhattan grand jury in a probe over hush money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

The twice-impeached former president faces charges of falsifying business records, including at least one felony offense, in the indictment, two sources told The Associated Press.

It comes after Mr Trump made a post on his Truth Social website saying he expected to be arrested on 20 March.
