Croydon: Videos show police cars surrounding bus after 15-year-old girl fatally stabbed
Videos posted on social media show police cars surrounding a bus after a teenage girl was stabbed to death in Croydon on Wednesday morning (27 September).
Paramedics were called at 8.30am to reports of a 15-year-old girl stabbed on Wellesley Road, near the Whitgift shopping centre in south London, police said.
Despite the efforts of the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.21am.
A large police and ambulance presence was seen near a bus stop in other videos posted online.
“Our immediate thoughts are with this young girl’s family who are facing the most tragic of news,” Chief Superintendent Andy Brittain, in charge of local policing, said.
