Door-to-door salespeople brag about ‘tricking’ elderly into donating money
An undercover investigation has revealed how door-to-door salespeople trick residents into giving donations.
Wales Online reporter Conor Gogarty got a job at a Cardiff firm after hearing “claims of exploitation and cult-like practices.”
His covertly-filmed footage shows how a salesperson lied to a pensioner on a doorstep in an attempt to get her to sign up to direct debit payments to a charity.
Another clip shows a sales representative telling recruits at the firm that they “trick” residents into saying yes to signing up for donations.
