Shocking moment ‘boy racer’ smashes into lorry after running red light

Police have released CCTV footage of the moment a ‘boy racer’ sped through a red light and hit a lorry last year.

Shaheib Mohammed, 24, has been jailed for two years for the offence after pleading guilty, and it’s been dubbed a ‘miracle’ that no one was killed.

In the footage, the Volkswagen Passat sends the huge truck flying out-of-control across the street, as debris from the vehicle is launched into the air.

A passenger in Mohammed’s car suffered a brain bleed, damage to the major arterial vessel of his chest and a number of fractures.
