Car drives through raging Canadian wildfire in dramatic dashcam footage
A filmmaker says he “nearly died” after driving through raging wildfires in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Footage shared by Instagram user @ibrafilms_ captures his vehicle passing through flames and smoke on both sides of a highway in Hammonds Plains, Halifax.
“Guys, we almost died,” the filmmaker says in a video shared after their terrifying experience.
“The fire is spreading, it’s very serious, I’m not kidding. We couldn’t see anything.”
A local state of emergency has been declared in Halifax after the wildfire caused evacuations and power outages.
