British son of woman kidnapped by Hamas recalls her last terrifying phone call
A Briton whose mother was kidnapped by Hamas has recalled her last terrifying phone call to family.
Noam Sagi, who lives in north London, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday 25 October to appeal for his mother’s release.
Ada Sagi, who was kidnapped from the same kibbutz as 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz, is still in captivity.
“We woke up on a regular Saturday morning here in London and because of the time gap with Israel, we heard very urgent calls starting to come,” Mr Sagi explained.
“My sister was with my mum on the phone, and my mum could see Hamas people coming with RPGs, going around the kibbutz.
“She went into the safe room, and the phone went down, that was the last we heard.”
Mr Sagi found out his mother had been kidnapped hours later.
