‘Never write Boris off’: Liz Truss believes in former boss’s political comeback
Liz Truss has said to “never write Boris [Johnson] off” from Britain’s political scene as she set out her belief that people “will hear more” from him despite the Partygate report’s damning findings.
Speaking to Dan Wootton on GB News, the former prime minister added: “He’s done a huge amount. If Boris had not joined the Brexit campaign, would Brexit have won? I doubt it.”
Ms Truss’s comments come after the Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP was found to have misled Parliament and MPs over parties that took place at Downing Street during lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
