CCTV captures moment Banksy’s ‘Girl With Balloon’ is stolen from gallery

CCTV shows the moment a Banksy painting was stolen from a London gallery on Sunday, 8 September.

In surveillance footage, a person is seen breaking the windows of Grove Gallery on New Cavendish Street before a piece is lifted from the wall.

The painting, called "Girl With Balloon", was the only item stolen and has now been recovered to be returned to the gallery, the Metropolitan Police said.

It has a value of £270,000, according to court documents.

Larry Fraser, 47, and James Love, 53, were charged with non-residential burglary and remanded in police custody.
