9/11 survivor thought terror attack was a kitchen fire
On Lorraine this morning, a survivor of the 9/11 terror attacks shared her experience of being in the World Trade Centre as it was hit.
22-year-old Shumi Brody was in the North Tower at the time of the attack.
She was waiting for the elevator when she felt an Earthquake-like impact.
‘We initially thought there was a kitchen fire. On the 45th floor, there was a huge cafeteria. It seemed plausible that there might have been a kitchen fire.’
Brody also said that she has been trying to track down the firefighter who safely rescued her from the building.
