Will Smith releases bizarre ‘official statement’ video after marriage revelation

Will Smith teased that he had prepared an "official statement" in a video posted to Instagram days after his wife Jada Pinkett Smith shared that the couple have been separated for the last seven years.

Footage shows the actor, 55, looking into the camera as he says: "“So, here’s the thing. My opinion is…. Uh…,” before sneezing.

The video then zoomed out to show different landscapes.

It comes after the Girls Trip actor, 52, told People that, while the pair aren’t legally divorced, they have been living separately since 2016.

The couple married in 1997.
