Former vegan says meat ‘saved her life’ after diet ‘made hair fall out’
A former vegan has credited meat with “saving her life,” claiming that following a the diet caused her hair to fall out in chunks.
Kai-Lee Worsley, from Edmonton, Canada, stopped eating animal products and began eating protein-rich vegetables, alongside supplements, after learning about factory farming.
The 25-year-old says she started to feel unwell six months into the new diet, describing how her hair fell out and her fingernails became brittle.
“I couldn’t form coherent thoughts,” she said.
Worsley explained that she ate a steak to end the diet, but wanted to be vegan “for the rest of her life.”
