TikToker discovers rug buried in her garden, prompting morbid internet theories
A TikToker's videos about a rug buried in her garden prompted theories on the Internet about what lay underneath the grass.
Katie Santry, from Ohio, started sharing videos explaining that her home office was mysteriously wrecked.
She then shared that she had found a rolled-up carpet buried in her garden while putting up a fence.
Santry initially called in help to dig up the rug but later informed law enforcement and a homicide department sent cadaver dogs that sat on the area with the rug, a sign of possible human remnants.
Columbus Police Department said that although the investigation is ongoing, there are no conclusive findings.
Investigators digging at the house on Friday (4 October) removed several small pieces of the rug, which tested negative for human and animal remains.
Police said they have no plans for future tests.
