More men love reading romantic books in summer than women, study finds
In a recent study by OnePoll on behalf of ThriftBooks, a surprisingly large proportion of men prefer reading romantic novels over summer than women, with men saying they are also more likely to admit they use their summer vacation to read books they like without fear of judgment.
Some 56 per cent of men said they like to use the summer holidays to read romantic books, compared to just 37 per cent of women.
In the study of 2,000 US respondents, 56 per cent also said they try to read one “serious” book per summer to appear smarter.
