Martin Lewis shares how you can claim back thousands on your student loan
More than one million people overpaid on their student loan and are eligible to claim back hundreds or thousands of pounds, Martin Lewis has revealed.
Many repaid on their student loan, even though they didn’t earn enough to meet the £27,295 threshold.
Martin explains: “Let’s imagine you work only six months of the year, or most months you earn below £2,274, but you have a bonus or worked overtime. That may mean your student loan repayments were taken, even though in the tax year, you earned less than £27,295. If that happened, you are eligible to get money back.”
If you think this has happened to you, gather your pay slips and call the Student Loan Company and tell them you think you have overpaid.
