‘I don’t own any shoes - walking barefoot on glass doesn’t bother me’
A man who doesn’t own any shoes has shared how going barefoot 24/7 doesn’t bother him - even when he has to bandage his feet up from standing on glass.
Robin Greenfield, 37, ditched his footwear 15 years ago after he was inspired on a university trip in New Zealand when he noticed one of his course leaders walking around barefoot.
He now goes barefoot full-time and even ditches his shoes while strolling around New York City.
Greenfield says it took him years to “overcome social norms or stigma.”
“People look down on me a lot... [they] often assume I am homeless,” he added.
