Watch: King Charles helps woman whose shoe gets stuck during Cambridge University visit
King Charles III paused to help a woman whose shoe had come off after her heel got stuck in the soft earth as he broke ground for a new laboratory at Cambridge University.
In his first official engagement since his coronation, Charles toured the establishment’s Whittle Laboratory, which recently secured funding to develop a new £58 million lab.
The new facilities are designed to become the leading global centre for disruptive innovation in net zero aviation and energy, bringing together experts from research and industry.
