Keir Starmer moves Siberian kitten into Downing Street after children ask for German Shepherd
Sir Keir Starmer says his family have brought a Siberian kitten into 10 Downing Street after his children asked him to get a German Shepherd if he won the general election.
The new pet will live with the family alongside the family’s currency cat JoJo and No10 chief mouser Larry.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday, 2 September, the prime minister described months of negotiations with his children who had asked for a dog if Labour won.
"I said we would get in the room and sort it out. We are now getting a kitten instead of a dog," Sir Keir explained.
