‘Monster’ jellyfish the ‘size of a dog’ washes up on Merseyside beach
A dog walker found a “monster” jellyfish washed up on a beach in Merseyside.
Vilne Cuplinskaite said she spotted the transluscent marine creature on Ainsdale beach last Sunday (21 May).
Warning dog owners to be vigilant, Cuplinskaite recalled how her pet started running towards the jellyfish.
“If I didn’t recall her in panic, I’m sure she would have stuck her nose in it... that thing was bigger than my dachshund and I’m pretty sure if it stung such a small dog it wouldn’t end well.”
