Terrifying moment skiier plunges into hidden waterfall while on slopes in Japan

A skiier plunged into a hidden waterfall while on the slopes in Japan, dramatic footage from Monday (4 March) shows.

Sean Toms was navigating mountainous terrain in Hokkaido when he suddenly plunged through a hole and into a creek.

Footage of the terrifying incident was captured on his GoPro camera.

The skiier, from New Zealand, fell as snow suddenly gave way into the hot spring below.

Toms did not sustain any injuries and was able to climb up the rock face to get out of the hole.
