Masked bandit: Thieving raccoon gets stuck breaking into Indiana home
Police retrieved a large raccoon that became stuck after breaking into an Indianapolis home, newly-released bodycam footage from 9 January shows.
The masked bandit had broken into the premises in the early hours, waking the owner up with the noise of its intrusion.
It left a path of destruction in the home before getting stuck on top of a fridge.
Police eventually captured and released the animal.
“IMPD officers are trained to interrupt and detain burglary suspects; however, these officers came into contact with a masked bandit... that was just looking to get warm, and maybe find some snacks,” Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
