Ice climber scales 141-metre-high frozen waterfall after first attempt almost killed him

This is the moment a climber scaled a 141-metre-high frozen waterfall in Canada after his first attempt almost killed him.

Will Gadd ascended Helmcken Falls in British Columbia, Canada’s fourth highest waterfall.

He first attempted the climb in 2014, but was left hanging for his life on a ledge after a piece of his equipment malfunctioned.

“I had nightmares about [my first attempt] for years,” the athlete told CBC.

“You gotta listen to your fear and use it rather than let it own you.”
