Moment Humpback whale entangled in fishing lines is rescued in British Columbia
A humpback whale was found entangled with various lines off the coast of British Columbia, Canada.
Canadian news, CBC Vancouver, reported that a nearby crew was alerted to the trapped animal in Hecate Strait.
The whale was found with multiple lines and floats tangling its head and midsection.
Crews spent several days rescuing the animal before it swam free.
Those who helped save the animal think it got trapped by collecting gear and lines for weeks or months before it eventually got stuck.
