Fly found squashed between cream ‘in Morrisons dessert’
A couple were horrified after they said they found a fly in a Morrisons dessert.
Andrew Longmore described how he found the critter in a cream profiterole sundae he bought for his girlfriend, Katie Connolly, last Monday (18 October) at a store in Northfleet, Kent.
The security officer’s partner was shocked when she saw the insect trapped in the cream.
Mr Longmore said: “It’s just hygiene. If I wanted to buy a fly I would’ve just bought a bin bag.”
“This is an isolated incident and we are in touch with the customer to apologise... as a precaution we are carrying out a full review of our Gravesend store,” Morrisons said.
