The Rock waxwork unveiled at French museum as actor responds to ‘whitewashed’ figure
A waxwork of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been unveiled at a museum in Paris - but the actor has asked for its skin colour to be changed.
Fans online have accused the Grevin Museum of “whitewashing” the star.
Johnson’s Nova Scotian father is Black and his mother is Samoan.
“I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum,” Johnson said in an Instagram post.
“We can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements - starting with my skin colour,” he added, with a laughing emoji.
