Bear makes itself at home in California neighbourhood tree before going for lake swim
A bear sprinted through a California neighbourhood, making itself at home in a tree and going for a swim in a local lake.
After spending more than an hour nestled in the branches, the animal climbed down and jumped into the water.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife used air horns and paint guns to try and push the juvenile black bear further towards the mountains.
Officials also tried to tranquilise the bear to transport it to the wild but the shot missed.
The Independent contacted the Department of Fish and Wildlife regarding the bear’s whereabouts.
